Cllr Gerald Ford
Gerald was born and brought up in the parish at Albert Road, Brimscombe. At the age of 12 he joined Minchinhampton Scout Group which at that time met at Burleigh Court. That was the start of his involvement with the town.
Gerald married a local girl and eventually moved to Minchinhampton where he was involved with the Country Fayre from the first reinstated one in 1967 and chairman for six subsequent fayres.
He joined the parish council in 1983 and has been a continuous member ever since.
Gerald's aim as a councillor is to see Minchinhampton a pleasant place to live with a fair deal for all.
He is a representative on the Horsfall House Committee.
