Minchinhampton Parish Council

Serving the people of Minchinhampton

Clerk: Ms Jo Barber
The Trap House, West End
Minchinhampton, Gloucester

Cllr John Williams

John has lived in the Minchinhampton area for over thirty years with family connections going back several hundred. He joined the council in 2005 and is a member of the Finance Committee. He heads up on road safety matters, and is the parish council's representative on both the Minchinhampton Sports Association and Minchinhampton Youth Club.

John believes that grass roots democracy can make a difference, by working as a team free of mainstream party politics for the betterment of their own community, tangible changes can be achieved. He believes councillors should be mindful that they represent the whole of the parish and that everyone should be able to have a say in their communities' future.

John is also interested in the history and environment of the parish and is chairman of the Minchinhampton Local History Group as well as being an artist with a keen interest in photography.
