Cllr Mike Beard
Mike has lived in Minchinhampton since 2003 having retired from the electrical contracting business and moved here from Upton St. Leonards. He is married with three children and two grandchildren.
His education started at the Crypt School in Gloucester after which he attended St. Edmund Hall, Oxford, leaving with a degree in Jurisprudence. While at the hall, he played rugby for the Freshmen Greyhounds and also was picked for the Oxford University XV.
Mike's retirement is now spent enjoying golf, being a keen member of a Rotary Club in Gloucester and Probus here in Minchinhampton, as well as the occasional holiday abroad. Other interests are gardening, walking and supporting the rugby players at Kingsholm in Gloucester. Mike is also a keen volunteer supporter of the Minchinhampton Community Library
