Cllr Pippa Schwartz
Pippa has lived in the parish with her family since 1990, first of all in Burleigh and more recently in the town of Minchinhampton.
She spent the first half of her adult life working in London and New York for Unilever, in market research. She met her husband, David, in New York and together they decided to find a more peaceful place to bring up their family.
It is a matter of concern to her that life in the countryside can so often be shattered by housing development in inappropriate places. For almost 20 years, Pippa has worked on the local committee of the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE), the only national charity with the countryside as its core concern.
