Global marketing consultant Richard Herbert, who is still working part-time, moved to the Cotswolds in 2019.

Previously from Surrey, he was experienced in local government before joining Minchinhampton PC as he was for over 10 years a member, then chair of Ockley Parish Council.

Cllr Herbert, who is married with four children and three grandchildren was also a long standing infant school governor in Surrey.

"We take an active interest in village life and always wanted to be part of a community when we moved here," he said. "My wife is on the Amberley shop group".
